HAVERHILL — The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce will present Restaurant Week in Haverhill this summer.

The 10-day-long celebration of dining out and keeping it local will feature Haverhill eateries ranging from coffee shops, to pizza shops, pubs and special date-night restaurants.

“Haverhill has the best restaurant zone north of the North End and I’m thrilled to work with the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce to promote Restaurant Week in Haverhill,” said Mayor James Fiorentini. “I have wanted to do a restaurant week in Haverhill for years, so I’m excited the Haverhill Chamber is going to take this on.

Restaurant Week is scheduled for Aug. 17 to 26 and is designed to promote the variety of restaurant offerings available in Haverhill. It will be a week of great values, good times and gastronomical adventures, chamber officials said.

“We’re hoping to have participating restaurants offer menu specials consisting of prix-fixe selections and prices,” said Hillary Rogers, membership and marketing manager for the Haverhill Chamber. “The idea is to create opportunities for all types of food establishments to participate.”
